The first artist event for Community Supported Art 2015 was hosted by Michael Forsberg at his gallery in the Haymarket on Thursday, May 21. Jackie Allen and Hans Sturm performed as “Bass Meets Voice” duet. Those in attendance heard three songs from the new four-song suite the couple is writing in homage to Plains Indian tribes associated with Nebraska – past and present. The suite is their creation for the CSArt shares this year. Field photographer, Michael Forsberg, spoke about his love of Nebraska and his eye for capturing the unique and subtle beauty of the plains. He is contributing a never-before-seen photo to the art share. And we still haven’t seen it! This CSArt shareholder exclusive event is just one example of what makes Community Supported Art unique for the collectors as well as the artists who participate.
